Anne Elliot's Birthday Party by Old-Fashioned Charm!

From the beginning of Persuasion:
"Sir Walter Elliot, of Kellynch Hall, in Somersetshire, was a man who, for his own amusement, never took up any book but the Baronetage; there he found occupation for an idle hour, and consolation in a distressed one; there his faculties were roused into admiration and respect, by contemplating the limited remnant of the earliest patents; there any unwelcome sensations, arising from domestic affairs changed naturally into pity and contempt as he turned over the almost endless creations of the last century; and there, if every other leaf were powerless, he could read his own history with an interest which never failed. This was the page at which the favourite volume always opened:

"ELLIOT OF KELLYNCH HALL.

'Walter Elliot, born March 1, 1760, married, July 15, 1784, Elizabeth, daughter of James Stevenson, Esq. of South Park, in the county of Gloucester, by which lady (who died 1800) he has issue Elizabeth, born June 1, 1785; Anne, born August 9, 1787; a still-born son, November 5, 1789; Mary, born November 20, 1791.'"

Jane Austen Week Questions

Here are the questions that I've promised! For Jane Austen Week to get everyone involved, I've complied a list of questions that you can answer on your blogs. I ask that you wait until Jane Austen Week starts before you post the questions. This week before Jane Austen Week starts will give you an opportunity to start writing your answers.

When you post your questions during Jane Austen Week, leave a comment so I can put a link to your blog! For the conclusion of Jane Austen Week, I would like to take some quotes from some of the blog posts for the concluding post (I will comment on your post to ask your permission to quote you, of course). Here are the questions! And remember to decorate your posts with pictures!
  1. What is your favorite thing about Jane Austen? Why?
  2. What are your top three favorite Jane Austen Novels and why?
  3. Who are your top three favorite Jane Austen Heroines and why?
  4. Who are your top three favorite Jane Austen Heroes and why?
  5. Any honorable mentions for 3 and 4? (Keep it under five all together)
  6. Top three Jane Austen Adaptations and why?
  7. Top Three Jane Austen characters that "take delight in vexing" you?
  8. Jane Austen Sequels... Do you like them or not?
  9. Do you have a favorite spot to keep all your Jane Austen "stuff"?
  10. Which Jane Austen character do you think you're most like?
  11. Added 8/2/11 What was your introduction to Jane Austen? (Suggested by Melody from Regency Delight)
If you have any questions on the questions, feel free to ask so I can clarify anything. And most importantly, have fun!
